Step 1. Make a booking
Once you decide that you want to hire us, please make a booking. As part of the booking, you will need to make an upfront payment.
Please be reassured that Prateek has a rock-solid Happiness Guarantee. If you are not happy after the session, he will happily refund your investment.
Thank you for being patient, Prateek is sometimes booked out weeks in advance; while other times you can get lucky and score a booking the next day. The key is to book as soon as possible because a free time slot can fill very quickly. The sooner you take action, the sooner Prateek can help you to solve your dog’s behavioural problems.
Step 2. Prateek will come to your home.
Your dog’s behaviour problems typically originate and worsen in your home, so this is the place where the problems need to be addressed; particularly if you want to achieve long-term results.
After an initial greeting, Prateek can get to work!
Step 3. The session begins.
No two dogs are the same, which means that no two sessions are the same either. The information and techniques that Prateek teaches you will depend on your individual dog and your unique interactions with him or her. However, below is a rough outline of the session.
The Dog Behaviour Specialist session is a mixture of:
- Diagnosis through observation and subtle tests.
- Deciding the most effective ways to help you solve your dog’s behaviour problems.
- Working with your dog to show you how to work through the problems.
- You will see amazing results as Prateek works with your dog.
- Teaching you effective ways to interact with your dog, and providing you with: dog psychology education, hands-on techniques, leadership training and practical exercises so that you can maintain what has been created on the day.
You can ask as many questions as you like during, and at the end of the session.
Step 4. Trust that Prateek knows what he’s doing.
Prateek takes cues from your dog, and he will observe and interact spontaneously. He won’t always be able to explain what he’s doing immediately, but he’ll explain at some point during the session. You’ll always have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
Most importantly, trust that Prateek knows what he’s doing. You might wonder why he’s focusing on one aspect of your dog’s behaviour, even though you didn’t raise it as an issue (or see it as a problem). The answer is, everything is connected. If Prateek is working on something with your dog, there’s a reason for it. Even if it seems like a minor issue to you or completely irrelevant, chances are that it is contributing to the problem that you booked in about.
Step 5. Follow through. Consistency is the key to long-term success.
Once Prateek leaves your home, be sure to immediately implement all the techniques and strategies you’ve been taught. Consistency is the key to immediate and long-term success.
Even though you would have seen Prateek get fast (and in many cases immediate) results, these results need to be maintained by doing what you’ve been shown. Don’t worry, you won’t be perfect to start with, but you can do it. Thousands of people have gone through exactly what you’ve gone through and have been enormously successful. Just persist. Be a clear and consistent leader and you will have a beautiful relationship with your dog.
Enjoy your dog!
It’s not always easy changing your habits and interactions with your dog, but once you do, you’ll be able to enjoy a happy, calm and fulfilling relationship with your four legged family member.
